Secrest Direct Inc., an independent Landstar agency, is seeking highly qualified owner-operators for non-forced dispatch Heavy Haul and Specialized opportunities.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and select specialized, oversize, and heavy haul freight from the Landstar load board.
Secure complex lo safely using approved chains, straps, binders, and specialized edge protection.
Plan highly detailed routes managing deadhead, specific state permits, escort requirements, and precise delivery timing.
Operate your independent trucking business and manage your own schedule under a non-forced dispatch model.
Requirements
Must own or lease a qualifying heavy haul-capable tractor.
Valid Class A CDL with verifiable OTR and specialized hauling experience.
Must meet current Landstar safety, background, and specific heavy haul equipment requirements.
Experience navigating oversize/overweight permit and routing requirements.
Compensation
Percentage pay based on high-value, specialized freight revenue.
Weekly settlements.
